CAD/CAM CEREC 3D
CAD/CAM CEREC 3D aesthetic restoration technology
For the manufacture of individual ceramic restorations and dental micro-prostheses, our clinic uses CAD/CAM CEREC technology.
The CEREC CAD/CAM system is the latest German tooth integrity restoration system.
CEREC (Chairside Economic Restorations of Aesthetic Ceramic) is a high-tech complex of technologies, equipment and materials for the manufacture of highly aesthetic restorations (veneers, inlays, crowns) made of ceramic blocks in one visit directly in the dentist’s office.
CAD (Computer-Aided Design)– — computer design assistance. The main function of CAD is the definition of geometry and the construction of a 3D computer model.
CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) — computer assistance to production. This is the production of restorations under the control of computer technology based on a pre-designed 3D model.
The CAD/CAM system consists of two hardware parts:
a block for scanning, consisting of a high-resolution intraoral 3D camera and a powerful computer with special software,
a grinding block, where ceramic restoration is ground out from a workpiece made at the factory.

Advantages of ceramic dental restoration using CEREC 3D technology
High aesthetics. Cerec restorations optimally match the shape and color of natural teeth and are indistinguishable from their own teeth
Ceramic restorations are reliable, have high strength, don’t change their original color and shape.
The treatment concept allows you to preserve the maximum of healthy tooth tissue.
Saving time and efficiency. Restorations are modeled, manufactured and installed in one visit without the participation of a dental technician
There is no need to go through the unpleasant procedure of taking casts
There is no need to install temporary seals and structures
High accuracy in the design of restorations. Errors due to the human factor are excluded
Ultra-precise fit of the product to the tooth surface (from 25 to 60 microns) which eliminates the appearance of secondary caries
The service life of ceramic restorations is 20 years or more. For disciplined patients who visit the dentist for preventive examinations and keep high-quality oral hygiene, the service life of ceramic restoration is not limited.
Our clinic has installed the latest generation of Cerec Primescan and Cerec AC devices.
